Joe BoyleToday im here with Joe Boyle the twelve year old blogging pro. Although he may be only twelve he writes like seasoned novelist.  At the moment he’s working on his newest site, website begin, and is shaking the blogging world with his indepth articles about creating websites.

1) To start off this interview could you tell us a little bit about your site, and what motivated you to start it?

My name is Joe Boyle, and I am a 12 year old blogger trying to make myself a big name in the blogging community by helping others create their first website or blog. In the last few months of my life, I have been studying, leading up to the creation of my first website, www.websitebegin.com. WebsiteBegin is a blog dedicated to teaching you how to create and manage your first website or blog. It all started when someone asked me how to make a website. At that very moment, I decided it would be impossible to sit down and teach them everything, so I started my idea which evolved into WebsiteBegin. If it weren’t for that one person, I doubt WebsiteBegin would exist.

2) Wow only twelve and you’ve already come so far. As you were developing your site was there anyone you looked to for inspiration or guidance?

While developing my website, I looked up to Rob Rammuny from www.robswebtips.com for guidance. He has helped me a lot in the last few months as my website was being developed. Rob showed me the hosting service I now use, HostGator, and how to work a lot of the technical aspects. Rob has also helped me a lot when it came to designing the actual website.

3) If a new blogger were to approach you today and ask you to give them only one piece of advice what would it be?

If a new blogger where to approach me today and ask for one piece of advice, I’d say to never give up, no matter the obstacles. Too many people get blind-sided by one little thing and give up what could be worth millions. Take me, for example. I am 12 years old, but I still get up every morning and attempt to be the best blogger I can be. I have had more than my fair share of people telling me I won’t get anywhere, yet I still write articles and try my best to get myself out there. By giving up, you may well just start burning money.

4) With all the social platforms out there, which do you think is the most effective when building a relationship with your user?

Out of all of the social platforms, I think Twitter is the most effective for building a relationship with users/readers. Although other platforms like Facebook and Myspace are very popular, I think Twitter has an edge because it’s more plain. It’s very easy to plaster your Facebook or Myspace “wall” with ads, but on Twitter, you are limited to just text and a background. Even if you aren’t trying to put ads up and seem “spammy”, just a ad linking to your website may be “too much”, repelling users/readers. When users/readers are presented with ads, they become less comfortable and lose interest in you, making it much more difficult to build relationships.

5) If you were given $100 dollars to start-up a website how and where would you spend it?

If I was given $100 to start-up a website, I would spend it on hosting with Cpanel, due to the fact that Cpanel has all of the tools I already use. With hosting and Cpanel, I can now set-up Wordpress (what I host my blogs with) with ease, and get my website looking nice. With any remaining money, I’d purchase some small ads on Google, allowing some people to see my site and possibly tell a friend or two. Most people, however, will go for the free hosting which is a huge mistake. Those people will now have a lack of tools, making it harder for them to get anywhere.

6) As we finish this interview is there anything personal you would like to share or any upcoming business plans?

Since my website is still new, I don’t have any upcoming products, but I do have a personal goal to reach by the end of the year. By December 31st, 2010, I wish to have helped at least 100 people. In my opinion, my success is determined by how many people I help, not how much money or how many subscribers I have.
