Today im here with Jack Nguyen of JackNguyen.com. I’ve been reading his blog for quite some time and have not yet found a better source of internet marketing, affiliate, and blogging tips.

1) To start off this interview could you tell us a little bit about JackNguyen.com, and what motivated you to start it?

Jack Nguyen

I bought the domain name awhile back and attached it to a free blogger

account.  My intentions for that blog was to reference what I’ve learned in SEO, because that was my job at the time for an E-commerce company back

then.  I wasn’t really serious about that blog until recently, where I decided to write my goals down each day of what I had to do on my blog, on top of my fulltime job.

2) As you were developing your site was there anyone you looked to for inspiration or guidance?

The mighty D, Darren Rowse and John Chow were both great inspirations. After that, I’ve met so many wonderful people in the blogging community that have helped me along the way.

3) If a new blogger were to approach you today and ask you to give them only one piece of advice what would it be?

Be consistent.

4) With all the social platforms out there, which do you think is the most effective when building a relationship with your user?

Most effective? I have no idea yet.  Right now I’m using Twitter as one platform for building relationships.  I guess I’m just focusing more on content and building my list right now.

5) If you were given $100 dollars to start-up a website how and where would you spend it?

A domain name and hosting account.

6) As seen on your website, you use thesis. Could you tell us what exactly is thesis and what features you use yourself.

Thesis is a customizable and flexible Wordpress Theme that allows non-programmers, like me, to be able to change the design and functionality on a simple front-end dashboard.  I’m sure down the road when I can afford it I’ll pay someone to customize the look of my blog to my own preference, but for now Thesis is definitely worth the price.

7) Your blog is also do-follow. What are your thoughts on dofollow and nofollow blogs?

Here are my thoughts: As a new blogger, I don’t mind sending some link love your way, just as long as you don’t take advantage of the opportunity.  For instance, My blog uses KeywordLuv, so that you can add your name as well as your keyword title, but many people just add their keyword as their name and leave a comment like “Nice Post!”  Also, if I notice that your comments are not adding value, I get to decide if it should pass through or not.

Check out jacks in-depth article too much link love.

8) As we finish this interview is there anything personal you would like to share or any upcoming business plans?

Once I figure out what’s been working for me, etc. I want to write an ebook to help others get their blog up and running, find affiliate products, optimize with seo and ppc.  Many ebooks out there get straight to the point and I feel that they’re missing a chapter on getting yourself into the right mindset.  Many will spend hours on end researching ideas and topics, but only a few will take action.
